Applying online for a Savings Bond

Applying online for a Standard Life Bank Savings Bond couldn't be easier. It should only take 10 minutes to complete.

What you will need

You'll need the following details handy to complete the application:

• Details of your designated external bank/building society account (account name, account number and sort code). This account will either be used to store the interest earned on your Bond, or to move money in and out of your Bond Plus Savings Account if you choose to set one up.
• Your tax payer status.
• You must be a permanent resident of the UK and aged 16 and over to apply.

Once you have submitted your application, we will send you your Welcome Pack in the post within 5 working days.

You currently cannot apply online if:

• You already have a Standard Life savings account of any type,
• You have a Standard Life savings application pending,
• You would like to open more than one Bond, or
• You want to open a Business Bond.
